Todd Colwell, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Colwell has sixteen years of experience funding and building venture-backed companies. He joined DFA in 2004 as CFO, having worked with the company previously for over a year in a consulting and investment banking capacity.

Previously, from 1996 to 2002, Mr. Colwell was vice president of finance and corporate development for Eventra, and was instrumental in building this enterprise software firm, which delivered supply chain execution solutions to Fortune 500 manufacturers. Mr. Colwell was responsible for raising $37 million from top-tier venture firms such as JH Whitney & Company. At Eventra, he developed and negotiated strategic partnerships, was responsible for customer relationships, and built and managed Eventra's financial and operating infrastructure. He additionally served on the company’s board of directors.

Prior to joining Eventra, Mr. Colwell was a principal in two venture capital firms, Harbour Investment Corporation and Trinity Capital.

Mr. Colwell earned an MBA degree from Columbia University, and received a BA from Denison University.
