Mr. Rohrbasser is a co-founder of DFA Capital Management, Inc., (DFA) and has served as chairman and president since its inception. Mr. Rohrbasser also currently serves as chairman of Centerprise, Inc., a business engaged in providing risk management enterprise software solutions to the financial services industry.
From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Rohrbasser served as chief financial officer and a member of the executive board of ZH Group in Zurich and New York, where he was responsible for the group’s financial affairs and non-insurance businesses, including Zurich Asset Management, Zurich Capital Markets, and Center Solutions. Together with the chief investment officer he managed group assets of approximately $400 billion.
Prior to 1996, Mr. Rohrbasser served for almost 20 years in various investment banking capacities with Union Bank of Switzerland, including as managing director of investment banking at UBS Philips & Drew, as chief executive officer of UBS North America, and as a member of the UBS Executive Board. As part of his executive responsibilities, Mr. Rohrbasser managed the private equity investment activities of both Zurich and UBS.
Mr. Rohrbasser holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and pursued Ph.D. graduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
